6.29.08 Ashley & Ryan

Ashley and Ryan had 240 guests attend their wedding on Sunday! The day started with a ceremony on the lake side of the lawn with the couple taking their vows under a canopy of twisted willows provided by Sharon of Mr. B's Florist.

During cocktail hour, the guests mingled while Ash and Ryan and their huge wedding party in orange and black and white took some fun photos! The guys wore flip flops which I'm sure made being in a tux in the heat a lot more comfortable! The guests were then invited on the lawn for dinner service with a head table of the entire bridal party.

After dinner, the guests came into the ballroom for toasts and dancing. The mother/son and father/daughter dances were sentimental and sweet with all the guests looking on. The guests then danced the night away with DJ Shawn Prince of Hullabaloo Entertainment - he was one of the most professional DJ's I have worked with!

At the end of the night, Ashley and Ryan left in a VW bug with the top down and guests blowing bubbles as they drove away.

Have a lovely time in the Bahamas, you two!!!

6.28.08 Liz & David

Liz and Dave's ceremony was picture perfect. It was a very intimate and sweet ceremony officiated by one of my favorites Tony Spatafora (818.618.1489). My favorite moment was towards the end of the ceremony when they faced Tony and as they listened to his words, they leaned on each other - so sweet!

Liz was one of the most organized brides I have ever met! She was very creative as well. On her sign in table, she had "take a wish" and "make a wish" jars. She brought in home made cookies in huge jars for the guests to enjoy during the reception. The florals were provided by Sharon of Mr. B's Fl
orist. After dinner, the guests danced the night away to tunes played by Nick of Charisma Entertainment.

Lots of love to the happy couple!!

6.27.08 Karla & Adrian

I had the pleasure to work with Karla and Adrian on Friday night. They have been married for 7 years and did a renewal of vows at Malibou Lake. The date of 6.29 was special as they met 8 years ago to the day. Together, they have raised a beautiful and amazing son, Adrian (Lil' "A").

The ceremony was full of happy tears as the couple renewed their vows and released doves. Heavenly Doves 805.512.0206

Karla has amazing taste and decked out the patio with brown and orange lanterns and chose 3 different styles of centerpieces for the dining room. For dinner, she changed into a gorgeous designer gown and sang a song to her groom of 7 years.

After dinner, the guests were treated to hand rolled cigars from Smoke Zone 805.494.1886 What a great idea!

7 year itch? Nah - these two are more in love than the day they wed 7 years ago.

Have fun in the Bahamas!!!

6.22.08 Erin & Danny

I had a blast working with Erin and Danny. They had 10 bridesmaids and groomsmen (EACH!!) all of whom they have know since grade school.

The ceremony was picture perfect in the shade with a nice breeze. Guests were invited into a blue and white dining room filled with candles and gorgeous hydrangeas.

After the first dance, the entire crowd filled the dance floor and danced the hora. The energy remained high and the guests danced the night aw
ay to country music (the bride and groom's favorite!)

Best wishes to Erin & Danny!!!

6.20.08 Vanessa & Jim

Wow!!! The temperature at Malibou Lake reached well over 100 degrees but the family and friends of Vanessa & Jim were surrounded by a beach themed wedding with flashy red flowers, black and ivory linens.

There were many great moments of the day, including the couple writing "love letters" to each other to be read during the ceremony, but the best was little James (the best man) "stealing the show"!!!

Place cards were bottles filled with sand and guests' names and table names and at each table was a hand painted beach scene made by the father of the bride.

Vanessa and Jim smiled the whole day through and you would never know how hot the day really was!

Cheers to the "ROCK HOUSE"!!!!

Great Idea!!!

I just HAD to share this with you!!!

Check out this idea: a photo booth for your wedding!!!

Ellen and Brandon had this idea and hired Red Cheese to come to the site and have double prints made of each fun photo session in the booth. One copy was for the guests, the other was for their sign in book!

Check out the fun photos me and DJ Nick of Charisma Entertainment took!
